Meatball Fire

A playful yet meaningful story about a small mistake that leads to a big adventure. When a cooking accident causes a fire, Eileen uses what she has learned to act quickly and responsibly.

Created collaboratively with the student using the Story Learning Packā„¢ and supported by AI, the story embeds key vocabulary and real-world safety concepts in an engaging, memorable context, helping learners build language, comprehension, and confidence.

Space Family Rescue

Space Family Rescue is a personalised story created collaboratively with a student as part of the Story Learning Lab project. The narrative combines imaginative storytelling with carefully selected vocabulary designed to support early ESL language development.

In this story, Luca and his alien family experience an unexpected adventure when their spaceship crash-lands on Earth. Through teamwork and problem-solving, they repair their ship and return home safely.

The story reflects the student’s ideas while embedding target vocabulary naturally within the narrative.

Each Story Learning Lab© story is supported by carefully designed vocabulary cards that introduce key words in meaningful, engaging contexts.

These cards combine:

  • Visual storytelling

  • Phonics breakdown (syllables and rhythm)

  • Simple sentence examples

  • Interactive learning strategies

In addition, teacher-mediated AI supports the selection and integration of vocabulary within each story, helping to ensure that target words are both developmentally appropriate and contextually meaningful.
